Astrology a Science

September 5th, 2006

The sacred science of Astrology is based on the doctrine of reincarnation and laws of Karma. It essentially recognizes that the human being consists of body, mind and soul. To the Astrologer the heavens form the Macrocosm and man the Microcosm. Man is an exact copy of the universe, a little world or miniature of the great world around him. Astrology believes in the three great truths as stated by the Author of “The Idyll of the White Soul” as follows: The Soul of man is immortal. The principle, which gives life dwell in us and without us, is undying and eternally beneficent. Each man is his own absolute lawgiver. The concept of human being as body, mind and Soul has been expressed not only by the Astrologers or the metaphysists but also found expression in the writing of all the evolved souls in the universe. The poet Longfellow has beautifully expressed his belief in the existence of the soul in the famous poem, ‘A psalm of life’. Tell me not, in mournful numbers, Life is but an empty dream! For the soul is dead that slumbers, And things are not what they seem. Life is real! Life is earnest! And the grave is not its goal, Dust thou art, to dust retunes, Was not spoken of the soul…. John Greenleaf Whittier has expressed his belief in rebirth in Raphael as under : The Tissue of the Life to be We weave with colors of our own, And in the field of Destiny We reap as we have sown.

To understand the true purport of Astrology, it is imperative that we should understand how the human being is born. This has been explained in the first chapter. The time that the incarnating soul chooses to take possession of a particular body in a particular family, in particular socio-economic, natural environment based on its past Karmas and Sanskars (tendencies) is called the Astrological Birth Time. It defies the capability of the doctor to note it. However, it has to be closely linked with the first breath the child takes when it comes out of the womb of the mother. It is the responsibility of the Astrologer to fix it and construct the true horoscope of the native. The true horoscope has to be unique for each individual. It should simulate conditions to reflect the native’s heredity, individuality, personality, state of health, longevity, name and fame, virtues, capacity to face struggle of life, social, financial, marital, educational, and professional status. It is, therefore, imperative that we need to place the correct degree, minutes and seconds on each of the twelve cuspal positions. How to do this has been explained in this book. The reader’s dedication, devotion and the open-minded approach will bring rewards.

However, let us not forget that our success in efforts to construct true horoscope is largely dependant on the accuracy of the software, which we use for the calculation of planetary and cuspal positions. It may be noted that the author has used true positions. It may be noted that the author has used True position of Rhau and Ketu in constructing the horoscopes.  Programme is set to convert latitutes to geocentric values. Placidius System is used to construct the charts. The number shown in the Bhava chart indicates the Sign rising on the Bhava. No doubt blessed ones alone can discover what is hitherto unknown. I have only made a sincere and dedicated attempt to dig out and revive our true concepts of Astrology. The aspiring reader will doubtlessly find the methods of rectification of birth chart elaborated in this book as an exposition of sound techniques based on scientific analysis. Suggestions from readers are welcome.

Kalamsa & Cuspal Interlinks Theory

August 25th, 2006

The sacred science of Astrology was regarded by the greatest sciencetist of the era Albert Einstein as a true science. He said, “Astrology is a science in itself and contains an illuminating body of knowledge. It taught me many things, and I am greatly indebted to it. Geophysical evidence reveals the power of the stars and the planets in relation to the terrestrial. In turn, astrology reinforces this power to some extent. This is why astrology is like a life-giving elixir to mankind.” In the recent past, however, Astrology has gained epithet as pseudo-science or nothing but superstition. There is, in fact, no mystery behind this degradation of astrology. It is a fact that the science of astrology has not so far been able to free itself from the clutches of its own charlatans. These ill-informed publicity crazy money-making practitioners, constantly solicit all possible derisive comments from the educated or enlightened and from those who have become victims of their depravity. The attitude of such pseudo astrologers can best be described in the words of Shakespeare as follows: “ As flies to the wanton boys, are we to the gods; They kill us for their sport.” Astrology, no doubt, will remain an enigma if the attitude of the traditional astrologers will continue to be rigid and their minds closed to the realities of life. We need to learn to discriminate.

It is shocking to say that even the intellectual giants like Carl Jung, Sepharial, Alan Leo, Walter Gibson, William J.T. Tucker, C.E.O. Carter and B.S. Green who knew that “Whatever is born or done this moment of time has the qualities of this moment of time”, also showed as if they suffered from some sort of intellectual void during their approach to Astrology. A moment can’t be defined as an hour or even a few minutes, then how the Rashi Chart or even the Navamsha Chart (as studied and analysed by the Vedic Astrologers) can delineate the nativity of a person. Neither the planetary positions nor the aspects, nor the yogas change; and even the varga charts may remain the same. And the less we say, the better it is, about the Western Astrology, which primarily depends upon the theory of Aspects and Progression. No two human beings are alike in the universe. Each horoscope, therefore, has to be unique. Our ancient seers used to construct and analyse charts to the accuracy of a few seconds of the ascendant. Let us try to match their calibre to the best of our ability and use this sacred knowledge to provide benefits to the society at large. To me Astrology is, at bottom, a microscopic criticism of all facets of life under the influence of celestial bodies. It is difficult for any learned man to deny the influence of celestial bodies on life on Earth. It is a different matter how to analyse this influence and apply it to predictive astrology. People oppose things because they are ignorant of them. Laws of science are universal. We do not say American or Indian Laws of Motion.

However, in Astrology no body agrees on anything. It is time, friends, to come to an agreement, at least in respect of its elemental principles. There are so many misunderstandings that if a radical change is not made, the fundamental role of Astrology will be seriously limited. My approach may not be an end in itself. However, I am making an effort in my books under the Title “True Astrology” to present before the readers how to approach the subject of Astrology in a scientific way. The reader’s dedication, devotion and the open-minded approach will bring rewards. However, let us not forget that our success in prediction is largely dependent on the accuracy of the software, which we use for the calculation of planetary and cuspal positions and also the accuracy of the birth data, which more often than not is questionable. No doubt blessed ones alone can discover what is hitherto unknown. I have only made a sincere and dedicated attempt to dig out and revive our true concepts of astrology. The present book True Astrology-Kalamsa And Cuspal Interlinks Theory is in tune with the Navamsa and Nadiamsa concept of Nadi Astrology. The aspiring reader will doubtless find it an exposition of sound techniques of predictive astrology. How to analyse the horoscope, to determine what is promised for the native for all walks of human life, has been explained in simple and scientific way. Timing events, and use of transits are often thought of as complex and incomprehensible. It is dealt in a very clear, practical and illustrative way. It can in no way be taken as unequivocal dogma. All that the reader needs is an accurate horoscope. Suggestions from readers are welcome.

True Astrology — Basic & Traditional Concepts

August 25th, 2006

Is Astrology a science? “No, it is a super science” says Mr. Astrologer. It is, infact the dogmatic, rigid and ritualistic approach of the practitioners of astrology, which resulted in creating doubts in the minds of the people about its efficacy. Astrology, no doubt, will remain an enigma if the attitude of the traditional astrologers will continue to be rigid and their minds closed to the realities of life. We need to learn to discriminate.

Horary Astrology and Cuspal Interlinks

August 24th, 2006

The broader-minded authorities believe that the predictive branch of Astrology needs considerable co-operative research effort by sincere and dedicated persons so as to develop a Scientific Astrological System. This book is yet another effort in this direction. I have tried to elucidate the Theory upon which each aspect of predictive technique used in Sub-Sub and Cuspal Interlinks philosophy is based. I hope learned persons will read this rare treatise on Astrology which is in fact, a synthesis of Nakshatra, Navamsa and Nadiamsa concepts of our ancient astrological systems.

Analysis of natal chart is a Herculean task. Human life is very complex. To break this complexity into smaller chains to delineate every thing about a particular aspect is an awful experience. Moreover, to construct a true natal chart itself tests the capability and patience of the Astrologer. Horary Astrology at least places the Astrologer in a much comfortable position as far as the construction of chart is concerned. A little sincere effort is required by the Astrologer to check the genuineness of the chart and make prediction to the relevant query of the person who has come to consult the Astrologer. The reader’s dedication, devotion and the open minded approach will bring rewards.

I have strong conviction that a scientific Astrological system has to account for individual differences. Any concept or rule that does not contribute to the uniqueness of the horoscope should not be accepted as a predictive tool. Thus, I do not take into consideration the Retrogression & Combustion of planets or even Aspect Theory (western or Indian). These do not change fast enough to account for uniqueness of horoscope.

Horary Astrology and Cuspal Interlinks ” is a book on predictive Astrology based on the Sub-Sub and Cuspal Interlinks Theory. It is in tune with the Nadi and Navamsa concept of Nadi Astrology. I have made a humble attempt to handle the subject of Horary Astrology in simple, lucid and scientific way. Topics pertaining to each house have been dealt to enable the reader to master the scientific way of predictive techniques. Timing events and use of Transits have been explained in very clear, practical, illustrative and rational basis. Hope these efforts to unearth the ancient concepts of Astrology will make the readers proud of Astrology. To conclude I would request the readers to remember that horary chart is not a substitute for a true natal chart. It should be analysed only for a particular aspect upon which the mind of the native was focused at that time. It can, however, be used as a supporting tool when analysing a natal chart.Click here to see an example –> ” Analysis of Acharya Rajneesh’s chart “ May god bless all the readers.
